ege reinterprets the red carpet in the museum forecourt
The outcome of an encounter between contemporary Danish high-tech industrial production and the 18th-century rococo architecture of Frederiksstad in Copenhagen merges beautifully with the cobblestone paving of the museum forecourt. Past and present are joined seamlessly together as the historic facade of Designmuseum Danmark is reflected in the digital universe created by carpet manufacturer ege, inviting visitors in to explore the Designmuseum’s historic and contemporary collections of craft and design.
